Capturing Creativity in Toddlers (2024) – Presented at the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children, Austin Chapter, on building emergent, play-based art experiences for 18–24-month-olds and documenting their curiosity to make learning visible.


Froebel’s Gifts (2024) – Presented at the annual Summer Institute for the Priscilla Pond Flawn Child and Family Laboratory on Friedrich Froebel’s legacy and the influence of Froebelian kindergarten on modern art, art education, and practical adaptations of Froebel’s Gifts in early childhood classrooms.


Adaptive Art Practices and Adaptive Art: Connecting Process to Product (2023) – Presented at multiple venues, including the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (2023) and the Priscilla Pond Flawn Child and Family Laboratory Summer Institute (2023), on practical tools and techniques for creating successful and meaningful process art experiences for children with diverse abilities.


Social-Emotional Arts (2021) Presented at the annual Texas Art Education Association conference on integrating visual art experiences with social-emotional learning to help children externalize and identify emotions and foster connections with self, others, and the world.

Sneeze Guard Stencils (2021) – Manor Schoolhouse Foundation

Funded a sustainable arts initiative that repurposed plexiglass sneeze guards into materials for process-based art experiences in early childhood education.


Art To-Go (2020) – Manor Schoolhouse Foundation

Funded restaurant supply containers, technology and consumable art materials to be used for COVID protocols with virtual art lessons across Manor Elementary.


Mindful Surroundings, Meaningful Creations (2020) – A+ Federal Credit Union

Funded the purchase of age-appropriate modular furniture and play materials to incorporate Reggio Emilia principles into the classroom.


Arts & Healing (2020) – Texas Art Education Foundation

Supported research and development of katazome and indigo dyeing techniques.

Supported the acquisition of loose parts and open-ended building materials for preschool-aged children to inspire creative construction, sculpture, and collage.
